MLA citation problems--please help!
Hi,
1. I needed to use MLA 8th ed., not the latest 9th ed. I think I successfully imported it and added it to Zotero and set it in my Google Docs under "Document Preferences" in the Zotero menu there.
2. When I'm in Zotero, I click "add citation" in the Notes section (RH sidebar). It adds it in the incorrect format: author, year. If I click on the citation, I can add the page number, but it adds the word "page" before it. So the citation reads "Smith, 1972, page 1." This is a completely incorrect format for in-text citation, which should simply be "Smith, 1". I can't figure out how to edit the citation to correct it. Is there a way to do this?

adamsmithThe citation format in notes is always the same, not following any specific citation style. If you add a note the google doc using the Add Note button, citations in the note take whichever style is active in that document
