Merged Duplicates reappear! Error report ID: 1903715652

Yesterday I merge a lot (!) of duplicates. Sychnronization was on and was checked by me.
This morning, when I opened Zotero again, all merged Duplicates were back again! I found then the error:

[JavaScript Error: "chrome://zotero/content/standalone/standalone.xul : Unable to run script because scripts are blocked internally."]

What does it mean? How can I fix it?
I would be heartbreaking, if all the work would be gone and if I would have to do it all again...and even worse: If then, the error (reapperance of duplicated) would happen again -_-

I am grateful for any tip or advice!
  • Can you provide the zotero.org URLs when clicking on two of the items in question in the web library? There are over 4700 items in your trash, all deleted in the last few days and all marked as being merged with other items, so I'm not quite sure what you're referring to.
  • Thank you @dstillman for your quick response.
First of all, to specify the problem again: The items that I had already merged all appear to me again as individual files in the "Duplicate items" folder, as if I had not merged them. The number of deleted files in the folder does not correspond to the number of files I merged and consequently deleted.
I would like to send you the Zotero.org URLs, but unfortunately I can't see the "duplicate items" folder in my web library. Is this normal?
Maybe reasonable to mention, I am not the "Owner" of this group from the project we are working on.
Could this be a compatibility or synchronization issue? Because we are several people working on the duplicates at the same time.

Do you actually see the duplicate items in the library root, if you sort by title? Or are the duplicates in the trash and your Duplicate Items collection is just still showing them?

Have you tried just restarting Zotero?

The point of checking the web library is just to identify the two items in question — nothing to do with the Duplicate Items collection itself.
