Change fields viewed

I want to add fields to my view. The instructions say right click in the field title. Where would that list be? I have tried clicking in an entry, but that doesn't work, and it doesn't seem to be in the preferences. Using 6.0.
How do I include things like date added in my list of articles?

You mean columns in the middle panel? Right-click on the column header -- literally where it says 'Title'
