Upgrade StorageUpgrade Word and Zotero disappears? It's just hidden.
In Word 2011, Zotero toolbar appeared outside of documents, and a 'Z' with a pull-down menu showed in Word's menu bar. It was blatant. On upgrade to newer Word versions, it disappears.
Troubleshooting can be extensive, frustrating, unfruitful, and unnecessary. But if this tripped you up (like me), it's just MS hide-and-go-seek.
Sometime before Word 2021, MS had moved add-ins into the document toolbar ribbon of individual documents, the one that says:
Home Picture Format Insert Draw Design Layout References Mailings >>
But there wasn't room for it (unless you opened a doc window quite wide) so it was hidden to the right of two carrots (>> more). Click the carrots!
