Endpoint XML PDF folder does not contain PDFs

I am currently trying to follow the instructions listed here: https://support.covidence.org/help/how-to-use-zotero-to-upload-full-texts?_gl=1*1xj26xg*_ga*MjA5MjQzMjg1Ni4xNjc2Mjk0ODQ3*_ga_HXKEQPTFLR*MTY3NjYzMTUwNC4yNC4xLjE2NzY2MzI3NDMuNTIuMC4w

I am attempting to import full text PDFs to Covidence for a literature review.

When I download the EndPoint XML format incl. files, the PDF sub-folders only include 1 PDF, instead of the >200 PDFs that are in the library I am trying to export. I can open the PDFs just fine in Zotero Desktop.
  • Not a general issue, though I do think I've seen a similar report some time ago.
Which version of Zotero, which operating system? And are you following the instructions exactly, i.e. not exporting annotations and exporting selected items, not a collection? (both of those options should work, too, but helpful to reproduce this as precisely as possible.

What happens if you just export 2 items with PDFs (for testing, that is)?
  • Hey, sorry for the late note - ended up being out of office for a while. Your hint above helped out, and I found two error sources:
    1) Saving my Zotero export file to a shared drive - saving locally or to my local / individual OneDrive worked
    2) Reducing the sample size I was trying to import - ended up breaking it up in batches, seems there are some restrictions here
