Exiting install - "updater.app" damaged

Hi, on a Mac (OS 13.1). Longtime user of Zotero. Clicked on icon to start Zotero and get error [ "updater.app" is damaged. You should move it to Trash.]

I do, but keep get this same message, and cant find a way out of this loop.

You can just redownload the app from the download page.
