Data base corruption after update to Zotero 6.0.21 on MacOS Ventura

Since updating to Zotero 6.0.21 on MacOS Ventura the data base became corrupted. Had so recover by manually renaming the last working backup from 2 days prior. Automated restore from backup didn't work either. Instead error in loop after following automatic prompt to recover from last backup.

Otherwise I enjoy Zotero immensely! Trying to do my part by reporting this!

version => 6.0.21, platform => MacIntel, oscpu => Intel Mac OS X 10.16, locale => en-AU, appName => Zotero, appVersion => 6.0.21, extensions => Zotero LibreOffice Integration (6.0.4.SA.6.0.21, extension), Zotero Word for Mac Integration (6.0.5.SA.6.0.21, extension)

    The update didn't cause the corruption — most updates don't have anything to do with the database whatsoever, and they don't cause file corruption in any case.

    Generally this happens if you keep your Zotero data directory in a cloud storage folder, on a network share, or on an external drive that's unmounted incorrectly.
  • I wish it were that.
    The data base is located on the internal SSD of my 2020 Macbook air.

    And even worse, I just added a free article to the library via firefox plugin and it gave me the error message of a corrupted data base again.

    Now when I try to start zotero, I get this:

    Unix error 2 during operation move on file /Users/pan/Zotero/zotero.sqlite (No such file or directory)
    (No stack trace)
    From previous event:
    ZoteroService@file:///Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/Resources/components/zotero-service.js:347:7
    @chrome://zotero/content/include.js:4:14
  • I deleted (moved) the database and all its backups and copies. Then the desktop client downloaded the whole library again. Now it seems fine. Have added 2 more papers via firefox plugin, one including free pdf via pubmed/plugin and one just the library entry via plugin and added the local pdf afterwards.
