Persistant Mac Problem Report

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Zotero application on my macbook several times and consistantly have a "Problem Report" show up when I try to open the application. I can get no further than that page.

This is occurring after syncing Zotero to my new computer (from old PC to Mac) and discovering that many of the pdf file locations had lost the linked pdf file. Every file I had should have transferred to my new computer, since I copied everything over; I don't know where those pdfs went. On the application i I tried "Reset Sync History". Then tried opening the program, to which the first "Problem Report" showed up. Then I began trying the above... all to no avail.

What do I try now? Thanks for any input.
  • You're just at your online storage quota, so any files beyond 300 MB wouldn't have been synced. Zotero would've been showing you a warning about this on every sync on the other computer. You'll need to transfer your entire data directory or sync the files from the other computer by upgrading your storage plan or using WebDAV.

By "Problem Report", do you mean the whole computer crashes (a kernel panic) and you have to restart it? An application by definition can't cause a kernel panic — that would be either a bug in the OS or a hardware problem (or some hardware accessory). If you're not running the latest macOS version, you should upgrade.
