Translator 'COinS' works at one opc4 but not at another

Hi!
OCLC PICA opc4 v2.2.14-vzg4
at http://opac.ub.uni-potsdam.de
does not show up a translator in the url-bar, but
OCLC PICA opc4 v2.2.14-vzg7
at http://kiopc4.ub.uni-kiel.de:8080/
does (as I've read in this forum before).
The tool-tip for the translator at uni-kiel.de sais "COinS".
I'd love seeing the translator work for the first opac, too.
Sincerely,
Andi

  • COinS is an embedded metadata format that needs to be added by the site itself—Zotero simply has a generic translator that works wherever COinS is available. So either a dedicated translator would need to be written for the first site or they would have to implement COinS. There's no relation between the two sites as far as Zotero is concerned, though.
  • Of course, it's possible that opc4 has native support for COinS that simply hasn't been enabled on the first site, but you'd have to contact them to find out if that's the case.
