Can't import RIS-files anymore

I have always used RIS-files as the file type for importing references in Zotero. When importing I always get asked:

"Do you want to import the file "Primo_RIS_Export (1).ris"?"

When I press "OK" usually the file would be imported. However, as of today I get this message:

"Error. The selected file is not in a supported format."

and I am no longer able to import the reference-file.
Help?
  • Can you provide a Debug ID for an import that fails?

You should also open the .ris file in a text editor (e.g., Notepad or TextEdit) and paste the first record here.
  • Debug ID: D523877244

    .ris file:
    Y1 - (1971)
    ID - alma99122973563205763
    AU - Syberg, Karen.
    CY - (Kbh.)
T1 - Søsterskab! : Artikler fra den amerikanske kvindebefrielse
    TY - BOOK
    PB - Rhodos
    ER -

RIS records have to begin with "TY". It looks like their export got messed up somehow, so you'd have to contact them.

(To be clear, though, unless you're exporting many records at once, you'd want to use the Zotero Connector's Save to Zotero button rather than importing RIS files directly.)
  • Thanks a lot, the Save-button works fine.
