Annotations with integrated tool

I'm using the Zotero integrated PDF viewer to annotate my PDF, but when I open the PDF with an external editor (Okular) I cannot see the annotations anymore.

Aren't they saved inside the PDF?
  • Thanks. I should RTFM.

How do I export the entire library with embedded annotations?

The text above only explains how to export a single file.

I might want to try papis n the future.

    From the page:
When exporting metadata (e.g., BibTeX or RIS) from your library, there's an “Include Annotations” option under “Export Files” that will embed annotations in all exported PDFs.
So you would use File → "Export Library…" and make sure "Include Annotations" is selected.

Or if you want just the PDFs, you can do an advanced search for Attachment File Type is PDF, select all results, press Return to focus those items in the library view, and use File → "Export PDFs…".
