Upgrade StorageAnnotation colours disappear from left-side panel

When using the built-in PDF viewer
If you filter out all annotations except for those of a single colour and there is a single instance of that colour of annotation and you then change the colour of that single instance to a different colour, the annotation panel on the left is no longer usable (no annotations visible, no colour selection available at the bottom).
If you close the PDF and re-open, all annotations are visible once again.
I was worried for a moment when they disappeared and could see no way to bring them back...
