Upgrade StorageMemory usage and slowness in pdf viewer

I know I am not the only one raising the issue, but Zotero is quite heavy on the memory usage for my computer (macbook M1, 16Go). 1,6 Go is a bare minimum of memory usage and it can go very high, with values around 20 Go. Probably related to that, the pdf view seems to load very slowly and scrolling through the pages is absolutely not fluid.
I understand the next versions will be more efficient, but are there any steps I could do now to have a more convenient use of Zotero ? As far as I rememeber, the viewer was way more fluid when I first started using the Zotero pdf reader.

martynas_bDoes that happen only with scanned or with all PDF files?

aarroyoIt can effect both kinds of PDF files but I have the impression it is a bit worse with scanned files
