OK, sorry everyone — we looked into this again after some additional reports and realized that, due to a packaging mistake, the updated versions for Chrome and Edge last week didn't contain the new code, so this would've still been happening for Chrome and Edge users. The Firefox version was indeed fixed.
We've just submitted Zotero Connector 5.0.106 for Chrome and Edge, which will hopefully be approved later today and distributed automatically within a few hours.
