Zotero won't find PDF at link... is manually downloading the only way?
Hi,
Is there a way to get Zotero to import PDFs from the linked file? When I download the citation from a research database (in this case, ProQuest), the prompt says "some reference managers will import the linked file as a PDF". However, Zotero does not appear to do this automatically. When I click, "find PDF", it does not find the PDF. Is there a way to resolve this? At the moment, I have to manually download the files, then import them to each individual citation, which is quite time consuming when I have hundreds of sources. Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

adamsmithAre you using the "Save to Zotero" icon in your browser? That would typically include the PDF, including on ProQuest.

kzornadaYes, I have tried using the Save to Zotero icon in my browser too. The resulting entry in my Zotero library only includes the link, not the PDF. I've also referred to the troubleshooting for the Zotero extension, and can't see the problem there either.
