Search function in the PDF reader

It seems that the search function in the embedded PDF reader is not working well on hyphenated text. For example, if it appears as 're-gulator' in the text, I cannot find it by searching 'regulator'. However, it can be found using Advance Research. So I can know that 'regulator' is in the PDF, but it is just impossible to locate the phrase inside the PDF.
