Cannot add citations

Hi allI I am in the middle of editing a huge manuscript with deadlines coming up, and my Zotero will no longer let me add citations to my documents. I click on "Add/Edit Citation" in my Word plug-in ribbon, and it just brings up my library but not the dialog box that allows me to choose a citation. This happens with my manuscript documents, and even when I try to add a citation to a new document. Zotero and Word are both up to date. I am on a Mac running Ventura 13.0.1. I've never had any problems with Zotero before a and have no idea what to do. Can anyone please help? TIA!
  • Is it bringing up the main Zotero window, or is bringing up the classic citation dialog?

If the latter, see the link above for reverting the setting you would've had to have changed.

If the former, have you checked to make sure the red citation dialog isn't just appearing behind the main Zotero widow? You should also restart Zotero.
  • Clicking on Add/Edit Citation brings up the main Zotero window. The citation dialog is not behind it. I have restarted both Zotero and Word. I didn't see where in the article that you linked to it mentions a setting I would have changed. Can you help? TIA!

Can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this?
I didn't see where in the article that you linked to it mentions a setting I would have changed.
I linked to a specific section that says this:

"To permanently switch to the classic view check the “Use classic Add Citation view” checkbox in the Cite pane of Zotero preferences."
  • Try this: D1443496694. I've never had to use the debug before...hope this is helpful. Thanks!
  • (3)(+200319237): Integration: MacWord16-addEditCitation:'/Applications/Microsoft Word.app/' invoked

(3)(+0000010): Integration: Request already in progress; not executing MacWord16 addEditCitation
That shows an integration request already in progress. Can you restart Zotero and provide a Debug ID for the first attempt?
