Unable to connect to Zotero from Word

I'm not able to use Zotero from Word - I can see the icons in Word and have Zotero open. I keep getting a message stating Word cannot connect to Zotero. I can't see the option to download the plugin either in Zotero preferences. I have downloaded a new version of Zotero and it does not make a difference. I have also tried to download the plugin using the instructions at https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation#word_2016_and_2019_for_mac

I am using a Mac (Ventura) and have checked my Settings - Zotero has the permission to access other software.

Not sure why this has suddenly changed but as I am training on Zotero tomorrow, I'd appreciate some help.
