Character display problem IN zotero and in word - Umlaute (Ä, Ü, Ö etc.)

Hi,

I already have seacherd through the forum discussions about "umlaute" in zotero but haven't found an answerto my problem yet!

When I insert bibilgraphic information for example with an ISBN Number into Zotero the text (especially the umlaute [ä]) are shown correctly in zotero (e.g. "prävention).

But when you klick into the text and delete the ä charcter you will have to delete 2 positons!!! so probalby zotero displays an a and the the two points above the a seperatly!!

When i the try to export the zitation in word i get the problem of mixed up umlauts as you can see here: ä the a and the two point are out of alignment
i have already tried to change character encoding setting (in fire fox and zotero)- didn't work either with automatic settings in zotero and with UTF-8; ISO 8859-1


Please Help!!!

I use:
FireFox3.5.2
zotero: 2.0b7.6
word plugIn: 3.0a3
I used quick local switcher 1.6.10 but deinstalled it - didn't help either!

Word language: German
Firefox language: German
Zotero language: englisch

hmmm... the ä above is now corrctly displayed above - but wasn´t when I copied it out of my word doc.

I just found out that when Imove a citation directly from zotero to word (by clicking on a item directly in zotero and holding the left mousebutton - drag and drop) the ciatation in word is not displayed correct: a and the points above [ä] are out of alignment!

When i use the Word plug in by first citing in text and then generating a bibliography everything is displayed correctly!!
