Random string at the end of reference mark

When I look at the XML(content.xml) file created by LibreOffice, in reference mark I find "RNDQnu1bZfDwZ" at the end.

what is its significance of it? is it purely a random string? if not how its generated and based on what parameters?

    It's generated by LibreOffice so it's best to ask them, but as far as I know it's the ReferenceMark unique object ID. The uniqueness of this ID is possibly why copying reference marks doesn't work as there can only be one ReferenceMark with the same ID. Note that ReferenceMarks were not designed to be used for citations in LibreOffice, they're just the best possible mechanism to store citation information.
