Multiple Authors and RIS import

I'm trying to import an RIS style text file from Endnote into Zotero. I followed all instructions in zotero.org and the forum. I had multiple authors for a few references. I entered the multiple authors data in Endnote in this way, for example: Narayanan, G. Badri., and Terrie L. Walmsley. I find that in the zotero library, such references just pick up the first author! I checked and found that they have the same multiple authors in the RIS style text file too. Can anyone help me figure out where I'm going wrong? Thanks! Badri
  • could you post the RIS here? (open with a text editor, select all, copy, paste) - just for one entry of course.
  • Thanks! Here is an entry:
    TY - EBOOK
AU - Harrison, William. J., and Ken R. Pearson.
    CY - Melbourne, Australia
PB - Centre of Policy Studies and Impact Project, Monash University
    PY - 2007
TI - GEMPACK User Documentation Release 8.0.
    ID - 5
    ER -
  • yeah, that's not right - they should be in separate lines.
Is that even an acceptable form to add authors in Endnote?
I don't really see a good way of fixing this, unless Endnotes RIS output filter can be modified to do this correctly.
  • this is not correct endnote input. in Endnote, all authors have to spearated by a break. You can fix this in endnote with edit/change text, and then replace all commas in author field with a break.
  • Thanks a lot adamsmith & migugg. I have corrected and it works fine now.
