Zotero IOS and linked files

I am currently using the zotero chrome extension to get my files, and sometimes needing to download and add PDFs separately if its not available without institutional log in. However, even then it turns the PDFs into a linked PDF and I can't open it on my iPad. I am now aware that i'll need to use the zotero paid storage for seamless workflow between computer and iPad which i'm happy to do. I've changed to sync attachment files in my library using zotero, and also reset file sync history as well, but I still have linked pdfs showing up. What is the best way to change all PDFs to non-linked PDFs?

    Disable ZotFile, which you would've had to have set up, and use Tools → Manage Attachments → Convert Linked Files to Stored Files.
