Add Attatchment Data to Viewer Sidebar
I've always been confused why the Zotero 6 viewer doesn't show Attachment level data (Note and Info) in the sidebar. Instead, you can only access the Item data (Info, Tags, Related), and in a separate View, Item Notes, and All Notes. It would be nice to also be able to access the Attachment Note and Info directly in the viewer for, say, adding attachement-level long-form notes and renaming the file while looking at it.
This seems doable, needing some UI rearrangement [1] and a modified tab that can update to show when a file/attachment changes name.

dstillmanedited December 28, 2022Because for the vast majority of people, editing the parent item metadata and creating child (sibling) notes is what's important. Most people have parent items, one or more child notes, and a single child PDF that's being viewed. Embedded attachment notes are an awkward historical artifact that we wouldn't add to Zotero today and would like to get rid of in the future, since they don't work the same as regular child notes and make things more complicated. We're certainly not going to do more to encourage their use.
