Attachments not syncing to library after upgrading storage

Hello, I have read through the 'files not syncing' page but cannot seem to fix this issue.

Earlier today I upgraded storage for the first time, enough to store all my local attachments in the web library. I have tried to sync, and I have checked all my sync settings are correct, but still none of the attachments are in my web library.

I created a debug ID after clicking 'Resetting file sync history' and then running a sync
- D2080942601 - but I'm not sure if I've done this correctly.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I am doing wrong if anyone can advise?

    From your debug log:
File sync is not enabled for My Library
Please double check if "Sync attachment files in My Library using ..." is ticked and "Zotero" is selected in the select box next to the label in Zotero Preferences -> Sync tab.
  • Ahh thank you, I've just spotted what's happening. Not sure if it's to do with display brightness/contrast or what, but the tick boxes next to 'Sync attachment files in My Library using...' are invisible on my monitors unless they are ticked. I had no idea that they existed until I started clicking around in the grey space after your suggestion!

Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and provide a link here? That's certainly not normal. It should be a standard white macOS checkbox, and it's set against a darker gray than Apple uses in system preferences, which makes it even more visible. If this is an external monitor, you should certainly adjust your brightness/contrast settings.

(These checkboxes are also both checked by default, so you would've had to have disabled it manually.)
