Workflow for regularly exporting references from one group library to another

Dear developers and community,

my colleagues and I would be grateful for a workflow recommendation for regular exports from one group library to another.

The problem is the following:

Our digital studies lab manages a group library to which all members add all new research output, including reviews and data sets.

Only a selection of those references has to be added to our research institute's general ZOTERO library. So far, we have provided an RIS export of new publications once per year, but the administration mentioned that duplicates have come in, also because some colleagues have submitted updates as separate RIS files.

The question is how we can optimise this process. Checking and merging duplicates is, of course, very time-consuming, and our institution would like to avoid this in the future.

A Python-based solution would also be welcome.
