[URGENT] Problem with footnotes in Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (note)
Hi! I'm using Zotero for my doctoral thesis. The citation style I've chosen is Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition with footnotes. I've been working with it for several weeks with no problem.
Today, just a while ago, I've seen that suddenly all the text inserted in each line just before the footnote numbers in the document has disappeared. It seems that it's somehow still there, just not visible, no idea why (I can "select" the white space); if I try to manually insert footnotes after changing the citation style to one without them, the result is the same. I had changed from Mendeley to Zotero after having this very same problem, so you can't imagine just how incredibly frustrating this is right now.
I'm using Zotero 6.0.18, Microsoft Word 365 16.0.15831.20190 and Windows 11. Any ideas? Please, please, please, any sort of help is absolutely welcome. Thank you in advance!

adamsmithThis is almost certainly a Word issue -- Zotero (like Mendeley, which is why you're seeing the same issue) just tells Word ("insert footnote with the following text here") -- it doesn't control the display or formatting of the footnote itself. You will very likely find some troubleshooting advice if you google a description of your issue and Word Footnotes (without Zotero).
