Options for having Zotero as leftside or right side bar

I'm currently working with Zotero 1.0.10

The only options available to place Zotero are *below* or *above* the browser contents.

This is specially awkward as the vast majority of displays has a greater number of pixels in the horizontal dimension than in the vertical. The result is that important browser content is hided and switching between the Zotero and the browser windows becomes tedious.

I think that it would be a *very* important feature to have options to place Zotero *at the left* or *at the right* of the browser contents.

With such arrangement a much better use of the available resolution in displays would be attained. The comfortable line width for reading documents is about 60 to 70 columns or characters. So, no precious reading space of the browser contents would be lost in practice.

I dare to guess that the availability of such options would strongly increase Zotero's adoption.
