Zotero Toolbar & Update Issues
Good Afternoon,
I have had issues updating Zotero for a few months now. Today, the toolbar for Firefox has also stopped working.
I recently moved from a computer with Windows 10 to a new computer with Windows 11. Another user is on the Win 11 comp. who uses Zotero. Running Zotero as administrator has not solved the problem. To my knowledge, the other user is not considered logged in on the Computer anymore.
Upon opening Zotero the following error appears: "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Zotero running on your computer, and then restart Zotero to try again."
When updating Zotero is stuck on the "Applying Update" step indefinitely. Restarting Zotero leads to the error stated above.
When using Zotero in the browser to save, it recognizes the category I wish for it to be saved in. However, it hangs up here and never saves.
Where can I begin troubleshooting?
Thank you.

You should never run Zotero as administrator within a non-admin account — that can cause all sorts of problems. But if you normally run as a non-admin user, note that, if you cancel the admin prompt when you first install Zotero, it should do a local installation that you have permission to update as a local user. So you may want to uninstall Zotero (which won't affect your data) and reinstall that way.
Thank You!
