Citation in footnote without final period

I am an inexperienced Zotero user who would like to use footnotes with the citation in the footnote in the format [name year] or [name1 year1, name2 year2] etc. That would allow me to have the following footnotes:

1. Yalom 1980 argues that ...
2. Some authors (Yalom 1980, Baumeister 1991) have argued that ...

where I have manually added the parentheses.

It is essentially the same style as International Organization, but without the final period, which would look out of place in the examples above.

Is there an easy way to do this? (I may well have overlooked a style with this feature.)
