Too much space between footnote line and first footnote
I'm using Microsoft Word, and the footnotes that are generated from in-text citations are starting about four lines below the two-inch rule. They haven't done this on previous papers, and I don't know how to correct it. Anyone have any ideas?

adomasvenWord controls formatting for footnotes. This isn't exclusive to Zotero, if you insert footnotes yourself, you will see they are formatted the same way.

DonnaHMomZotero's footnotes aren't placed in a footer in Word; they're at the bottom of the page, but not in the same space as my page number. Zotero's footnotes don't respond to any formatting changes I make, either. For example, if I highlight the whole document and change spacing or fonts, the footnotes aren't affected. So there's no way to change the spacing below the two-inch rule that I can see.

adamsmithHave you tried inserting a footnote with Word? If that looks the same as Zotero footnote, the above applies.
