problem with accessed at

Hi
I have an urgent problem for some reason, Zotero is not
showing accessed at, or occasionally includes accessed at.
I have Harvard referencing ticked.

I have had No problems before. I tested on another page and put in a
new date and it still does not say accessed on my references.

Please can you help? My email is u2071236@uel.ac.uk
I clicked yes to a notification to upgrade Zotero- it has happened since then.

I also have rebooted several times

Thanks

Coralie

  • I am using via Chrome and not had a problem before
  • First of all, which of the several hundred "Harvard" styles are you using?

Can you please provide one or a few citations of what you are currently seeing and what your expected output is?
    What item type are these?
  • OK so my Harvard book is cite them right 11 - but it looks like there is now an update on zotero as 12? When I handed in my work this is some of what has happened see below

    Under Zotero Preferences
Harvard cite them right 12th or 11th is not highlighted.

  • Some show accessed others don't
  • URLs show accessed dates, DOIs (links starting with https://doi.org/10.) do not -- since DOIs are what's called persistent identifiers, there's no need for accessed dates for them, and that's reflected in the CTR manual
  • Ok this

Is this why when I manually put it it does not show. How does this work if you are supposed to show it under Harvard? any ideas

  • Thank you for explaining it there anyway I can include as Harvard require?
    >
  • I presume as a I click on Harvard 11th Cite the right in preference box it automatically saves it
  • I don't believe you'd have needed access dates for the 11th edition of CTR Harvard either, no. Why do you think so?
  • I think I saw it in the book (cite it right, 11th edition). However, I have emailed my tutor your answer, and I believe that it is sufficient. I can't thank you enough for explaining it. I always click yes to upgrade Zotero if asked, but another student told me that they don't do that. Thank you so much
  • You should always update any software, not only for bug fixes, but for security issues also. And in this case, Zotero has nothing to do with that. It's about the citation style you're using.
