how to change continuous numbering to start from 1 on each chapter for essays using footnotes

I am using endnotes for each chapter of an essay and trying to get them to start again from 1 at the beginning of each chapter. it is set as a continuous numbering throughout. How do I get Zotero to restart numbers at each chapter? Please advise.

    That's a Word setting using section breaks. You can google the details about how to do this for your Word version and it will automatically apply to Zotero footnotes or endnotes (note, though, that pointers to other footnotes by Zotero, 'supra notes', won't be numbered correctly anymore)
