full-text search indexing issues when importing
I want to import a large number of documents into Zotero. Each document has several associated txt files. It is important that I keep those txt files as URI links only, AND also can do full-text search on them. I have generated an import file in Zotero RDF format, and can import it fine. Everhting links and works, except... I am having trouble with getting indexing to happen after importing.
Indexing works fine when I create the docs manually and add the txt child docs as links. However, when I export that manually-created library (as Zotero RDF), and re-import it, the new collection is no longer indexed (of course), but I cannot get Zotero to re-index the new collection-- neither all at once, nor one page at a time. If I open one of the linked txt files, and "re-add" it as a link, then that re-added file gets indexed fine. But the txt file links that were imported remain un-indexed.
I have tried the Clear-Index/Re-Index features on the Search preference tab, with various settings. But to no avail. Does anyone know if there some way to force Zotero to actaully re-Index an imported collection with attached links to txt files?
