Bibliography was converted wrong

ColinRoss

Hey,
as I added my bibliography in word, which is supposed to be APA7 was converted wrong. It shows the references as coherent text instead of the APA 7 format.
Does anybody know how to solve this?

dstillman

You'll have to say more. What do you mean by "coherent text"? Can you share actual examples of what you're seeing?

See Steps to Reproduce.

ColinRoss

Instead of seeing the APA7 format, I see the references without spaces and paragraphs as a text

dstillman

Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and provide a link here?

ColinRoss

ok

ColinRoss

Here is the link to a photo of my references

dstillman

Does it work in a new document?

That's not a public link, but I'd guess that you accidentally modified the Bibliography style in Word.

ColinRoss

Here a new link:

dstillman

Right, so see what I said above.

ColinRoss

I created a new document and it works there. Does that mean that I must create a new doc to make it work?

dstillman

You can, but as I say, it's likely a problem with the "Bibliography" style in the first document. You can try just deleting that style and letting it be recreated.

ColinRoss

OK thanks for the quick and convenient help!

If this re-occurs, changing to a different Zotero/CSL style and back to APA also usually fixes this.
