Upgrade StorageZoho Word Plugin with Macro Security

We are currently troubleshooting some issues with the Zotero Plugin in MS Word. From the Microsoft Security Baseline, we have configured to block all macros except for signed macros and deployed the Zotero Code-Sign certificate of the Normal.dotm Template file as a trusted publisher to our user's devices.
This works for, let's say the "core functionality". We can see the macros when adding the developer tab in the Word Ribbon and can run them without any blocked pop-up and they all work as expected and intended.
The only thing missing is the Zotero Plugin Tab in the ribbon. We cannot get the ribbon to work with the Security Baselines and are not sure what could block this. Without the baselines it of course works but disabling the macro security won't be an option (and is default anyway sooner or later)
