Error in adding on the bar "Notes" column showing false numbers

I wanted to see and figure out on which document I made notes, so I tried to add "Notes" column on the upper bar, which seemingly shows the number of how many notes (like 1 or 2) attached to each document. But this number is not correct, because most of documents with number "1" has actually no notes within it. Interestingly, if the number is "2", then it often has 1 note attached to this. But the problem is inconsistency. I want to know how to fix this error. I found a similar post reporting the exact same error with this in this forum made in this August, but no one made replied to the post, so I tried posting again.
