Remove Libproxy from URL?

Hi!
I have a question about the links from webpages imported into Zotero. My university has a subscription to the Financial Times, and so the URL to the articles includes libproxy. Currently, I am cleaning up the links by hand, as I do not want the libproxy-part to show in my bibliography.

Here is the link to an article I currently get: https://www-ft-com.libproxy.newschool.edu/content/6ca9a470-59ee-4809-8a5b-35f6073c9907
And here is what I would like the link to look like: https://www.ft.com/content/6ca9a470-59ee-4809-8a5b-35f6073c9907

As you can see, the only difference is "www-ft-com.libproxy.newschool.edu" versus "www.ft.com". Is there a way to automate this?

Thank you!
  • Generally speaking, proxied links already shouldn't be saved to Zotero by the Zotero Connector, though they might be currently in some situations.

    1) Which browser are you using?

    2) Is your proxy set up in the Proxies pane of the Zotero Connector preferences (assuming you're not using Safari, which doesn't support proxies)?

    3) Can you provide Debug IDs from the Zotero Connector and Zotero for a save attempt that does this?
  • Hi!
Sorry, I noticed that I made a mistake. It simply does not save the URL at all.

    1.) I am using Firefox.
2.) My configured proxy has the following scheme: %h.libproxy.newschool.edu/%p
3.) Absolutely, here you go: D200845830

    Thank you!
  • Oh, that's a totally different issue, then. Just add that detail to your other thread.
  • Thank you, will do!
