why does search function not work on my linked pdfs?

sorry if this has been dealt with before-I couldn't find it anywhere.
Neither Control + F nor the Zotero search function work on my stored pdfs. Any suggestions please how I search pdfs on Zoreto for keywords? Thanks

    If you're talking about search bar in the Zotero toolbar, you have to change it to Everything mode to search PDF content. In Advanced Search it's the Attachment Content condition.

    Within the PDF reader itself, there's a Find in Document toolbar button mapped to Ctrl-F.
