Update on PDFs not automatically downloading?

Early in 2021 there was some discussion about the changes to journal sites like JAMA Network when Zotero stopped automatically downloading PDFs. This is still an issue. Examples from today:

Is this still on the radar as something Zotero is planning to resolve?

I never heard back from the JAMA folks beyond "we'll pass it on to the devs"
