IOS: Standalone Note Name is Blank on iPad after Editing on iPad, remains visible on PC

I've created a standalone note to capture thoughts about the lit I've collected in a subcollection. Initially the title of the note was visible on iPad and on PC but after opening it on my iPad and making small edits the title is no longer visible. The contents are fine, the title is still visible once I open the note but I can't see the title while scrolling through the items in the subcollection on iPad. This is not an issue on PC where I can see the title. This is also not a sync issue since I can make edits in either iPad or PC and see those changes reflected on the other device. I'm using the paid storage from Zotero if that's relevant to diagnosing the issue.
  • Update: I restarted my iPad and the Zotero app crashes when I try to open it again.

Also I realized I might have not closed the same notes on my PC at the same time I tried to edit the notes on my iPad. However sync wasn’t affected since changes made on my iPad successfully synced on PC.
  • Are you receiving a Debug ID for the crash or a prompt to export your database? If so, can you post the Debug ID here and email the database to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
  • Yes I get a new ID every time I try opening the app. Debug ID: 1349668701 or 1393357463 or 1580547091

And I’ve emailed support though I couldn’t attach the full exported database.

    Thank you for your help!

Can you upload the larger .realm file somewhere (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox) and email us a link? The file you sent won't help for this.
  • Sure thing! I've created the folder and shared it via email to support@zotero.org. Thanks again!
  • Thanks. We believe this is now fixed in the latest Zotero for iOS beta, and the fix will be included 1.0.7 within the next few days.
  • Woohoo! And if you could please pass along my sincere thanks to the team both for the fix and for making such an awesome tool. It’s totally transformed how I consume research, especially now that I can do so from an iPad. You all are doing really amazing work that I’m sure will help accelerate and improve how research is done. Thanks again!
  • 1.0.7 is now out with this fix. (And thanks so much for the kind words!)
