Greyed out keep updated option when trying to export BetterBibTEX

I see on other forums thatsomething about unable auto update in the BetterBib settings but I have tried every option in the settings and the "keep updated" text is still green out when I try to export a file in the normal way? Could anyone explain why? And how to fix it?
