Added authors missing from citations imported by Chrome connector

I am just checking - should the Zotero connector pick up added authors and editors as well as main authors (to use internal library jargon - authors from 700 field)?

Trying Zotero on our library catalogue (SirsiDynix e-Library) it appears to miss them.

Example: https://library.riam.ie/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/57/5/3?searchdata1=52526{CKEY}&searchfield1=GENERAL^SUBJECT^GENERAL^^&user_id=WEBSERVER

Name of editors Judith Bell and Stephen Waters missing from imported reference.

Zotero version 6.0.15
Chrome connector 5.0.98
Chrome Version 106.0.5249.119
  • Generally yes, we are getting MARC 700 field authors, but Sirsi eLibrary doesn't actually get us to reasonably parseable MARC, so it is scraping based on field names on the site and the other installations we were testing against had this as "added author" as opposed to your "Added Entry-Personal Name:"
We'll take a look but might take a bit
  • Hi Adam,
Thanks that's really helpful to know.

Rather than you having to reconfigure Zotero to take account of our quirks of presentation, perhaps the thing would be for us to reconfigure our catalogue display.

Is there a preferred form of label for Added Author that Zotero is looking for so that it could successfully scrape the information from our catalogue? Maybe even a reference SirsiDynix site where it is working?

    Best wishes
    Philip
