Zotero doesn't add citation in Google Docs

Zotero was working a couple of weeks ago, but now when I try to add a citation, it just loads and the Google Docs page says "Zotero is updating your document. Please wait." The progress window is there but it never turns into a search bar so I can add a citation. This also happens in new documents, I've tried restarting my computer and Chrome and reinstalling Zotero, everything is up to date. Please help, thank you!

    Try disabling all other Chrome extensions and reloading Google Docs.

    If you're still having trouble, provide a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading Google Docs and trying to use the plugin.
