Refresh Zotero and references now missing!

Zotero is somehow deleting articles from my reference list and also rearranging the order after I exit from Word or refresh, or when adding new references. I had to add some references manually - from websites, or others I had added before getting Zotero. Now they are missing from my reference list!! I try and put them back in alphabetical order as well and next thing I know, they are back in a different order (usually the ones I typed manually into word are mixed up as I assume Zotero is only putting the references it used in alphabetical order). Frustrating!!

    You can't manually edit the bibliography in the document. The bibliography is a single entity, and Zotero needs to update it automatically as you add citations to the document. (All citation managers with Word plugins work this same way.)

    If you really need to add uncited items to the bibliography, you can use the Add/Edit Bibliography button and add items from your library, but generally you would just insert citations into the document and they would be included in the bibliography automatically.
