Link resolver?

Hello,
I need help finding the link resolver for my institution (California Baptist University), in order to find missing PDFs in Zotero.
I have tried our proxy information: https://libproxy.calbaptist.edu/login?url=
And I have also tried on OpenURL resolver from EBSCO: https://openurl.ebsco.com/c/bnd3fg/openurl
(The majority of titles that we need PDFs for come from EBSCO databases).
Unfortunately, neither of these worked and came back with 0 missing PDFs.
Thank you for any assistance or clues to find this information.
  • This sounds like a misunderstanding. The OpenURL resolver is for the Library Lookup option in the Locate menu. The proxy should be detected automatically by the Zotero Connector, and would end up in the Proxies pane in the Zotero Connector preferences. Neither has anything to do with the Find Available PDFs feature, which will download 1) files you have direct access to based on your IP address (e.g., while on campus or using a VPN) and 2) open-access files. It can't use your web-based proxy.

The Zotero Connector will save PDFs automatically as you save from the web, if you have access to the PDFs within the browser.
  • Thank you for the response and the clarification!
Can you advise what I need or how to find a link to put in the box at Edit>Preferences>General>Open URL>Resolver
I believe I need to add a link resolver first in order to right click on my articles to find missing PDFs.
I should mention that I am not using a list of articles that I gathered, but rather assisting a coworker who saved the references in Covidence which were then imported into Zotero to find missing PDFs.

No. As dstillman says, Zotero doesn't use a link resolver for this -- it follows the DOI or URL and tries to access the PDF from the thus linked page.
