Footnote Annotations while using Chicago-Notes in Word

Is there a way to add annotations to your footnotes when using Chicago 17 -notes with footnotes in Microsoft word? I know how to create an annotated bibliography, but I need to annotate my footnotes rather than the bibliography. So far I cannot find an easy way to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

You can just write text into the footnotes, would that work? It's not quite clear what you mean by "annotated footnotes" otherwise.
