Import from EasyBib?

Hi, everyone. I'm brand new to Zotero and really like what I see, but I've been using EasyBib for a while now and have so much information over there that I'm hesitant to abandon it.

That problem could obviously be solved if I could find a way to import my projects from EasyBib into Zotero, but I haven't been able to find any way to do that except manually, which is pretty impractical, given the number of projects I have stored there.

I don't see any way to directly import from EasyBib, nor do I see a way to export my EasyBib account into an RIS file, so I'm not sure what other options I have.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

--Brian
  • The EasyBib project contacted the CSL team early in the development of the current citation processor running in Zotero. At that time the EasyBib team was keen to provide a path for their users to migrate data to other systems. I would suggest contacting EasyBib support first; they may have a solution in the works.

edit (deleted old post): sorry, I was wrong here - mistook this for NoodleTools. Check with EasyBib support if they now have export - if there is no export to any standard bib format that really is unacceptable and you should run to another tool.

Yes, the EasyBib tool is aimed at entry-level users, particularly in secondary education. Smooth migration of their users' data when they move on to university study is a good fit for their business model, so it is definitely worth writing to them and asking that they provide an RIS export option, which would work well with Zotero.
