There is another way to achieve this. That is to use firefox addon zotfile, which can move all attachments to a dropbox folder and make a link to those files.

If you can set up WebDAV storage for your attachments, Zandy will be able to access them for reading on the go. Zotfile gives you an option to move them to and from the reader without requiring Zotero
