    by adamsmith · February 24, 2015
oh if this is proquest: if you're accessing ProQuest through a proxy and using Zotero Standalone, PDFs won't download.

Ok started the thread. The URLs of the Proquest pages you mean? Don't think that will work because it's behind an institutional firewall.

Hmmm.... now I'm thinking I've got a bigger problem that I just discovered when I went to add something from ProQuest - also no translator. And EBSCO stuff isn't working either. I think my problem i

I was alerted to the fact that the Zotero icon is now showing in Summon 2.0! And it works pretty much. One has to refresh the page to Zotero actually import the new results, even though they look as

  11. Problems downloading full text PDFs

    by emily.d.quinn · December 18, 2014
Thanks everyone. I misunderstood that I was behind a proxy so that explains why Chrome isn't working for the Proquest link. In Chrome now I am able to get a snapshot but still not a full text PDF. In
  12. Problems downloading full text PDFs

Can you confirm that for ProQuest? Also make sure that you actually have access to the PDF.

I copied over to 7.8 GB to SSD and have just a bit more speed too. Perhaps worth it to use this out of the 256. This is a newspaper article database downloaded from ProQuest with about 8000 pdfs for
  17. retrieving metadata from dissertations from ProQuest

    by aurimas · November 27, 2014
It's a bit late since you already have the PDFs, but you should be able to use the URL bar icon from ProQuest to fetch metadata and the PDFs.
  18. retrieving metadata from dissertations from ProQuest

    by Fetchko2 · November 27, 2014
I've downloaded a significant amount of dissertations from ProQuest but when I import them into Zotero, it can't retrieve the metadata for any of them. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank
  19. I can't import pdfs from Ebsco

    by adamsmith · November 23, 2014
