You can try the Zotero beta — which is based on an even newer Firefox version — to see if that's any different, but there's a good chance you'll need to keep the data directory on a local disk for now

Not currently, but it may be possible in a future version. Firefox just added support for it.

They would just have to do it correctly (which for Zotero 6 at this point requires using a very old version of Firefox to generate the file).
